Did you know that Local search is the fastest growing vertical in search? Some research puts usage at 63% of all searches done are for regional or geo-targeted phrases.
What does this mean to you? If you aren't already going after your services with a regional influence, you are going to miss out on the person who has already pre-selected themselves and is looking for your business. Not all sites can take adavantage of this, but for those of you who can, why aren't you?

Google Introduces New Meta Tag for Webmasters
Google is coming out with a new tag called “unavailable_after” which will allow people to tell Google when a particular page will no longer be available for crawling. For instance, if you have a special offer on your site that expires on a particular date, you might want to use the unavailable_after tag to let Google know when to stop indexing it. Or perhaps you write articles that are free for a particular amount of time, but then get moved to a paid-subscription area of your site.
Google Webmaster Central gets Message Center
Now Google will tell you when they find problems with your site, all through your webmaster account.

Crazy month. Besides celebrating the 4th of July, a ton of activity stirring up as companies begin to scramble to make year end deadlines. Wrapped up a bunch of loose ends that were killing me. The site is still undergoing design functionality, and as soon as that's complete, I'll be letting everyone know.
