:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: TOP TIP :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Google Coupons

Is your site taking advantage of Google Coupons? If not, there is a great opportunity passing you by. It's free to set up and to creat, plus it's an excellent way to track visitors to your site. I can already hear the groans of "I don't have anything that I can discount" - sure you do. If you're reading this newsletter, you're selling a product or service. Even if you are an affiliate or a lead gen site, you should reward the person who finds you through the local search feature of Google.

I know, you don't to pigeon hole or in some cases reveal your location. Most times this is done to project a "national status" which is fine, but at some point, your business needs to have a physical location (you've got to get your Adsense checks mailed somewhere, right?).

Use that to list your business - it's a great way to show up regionally, and yet another way to get ranked in Google. And by the way, it's free!

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: NEWS ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am sure you've prolly already heard about the closing of Threadwatch, and the possible sale of it to SEOmoz or SearchEngineLand.

While I was never a big reader of ThreadWatch I liked the brashness and how members would call out all the players of the game, and not just bow down to the likes of Matt Cutts everytime something was posted from one of thier sites, or made a comment at some seo conference. In all industries, to keep a healthy balance you need an audience that does not always drink the kool-aid.

The Deep Web - The content in databases that rarely shows up in Web searches. It is estimated that there are 500 billion Web pages that could potentially be hidden.

All kinds of craziness happening for this past month, but at the end of the day, it all worked out well. While it's a wee bit late, Happy 4th to all who celebrate it.
