Block Google's Use of DMOZ
While this should be old news, Google introduced a way to control the display from DMOZ - if you have such a listing. The problem in the past was that if your DMOZ listing was innacurate, and Google chose that to display as the result snippet, it could not be the most effective marketing message. So now you can tell Google and the other search engines not to use that listing - and it *should* grab the content from your meta description tag.
